I bought some heavy duty dry erase pockets for handwriting practice from Groupon. I’ve been putting work we do in class as practice and send the originals home has homework as extra practice. This is a great way to save on printing and effortless if you want to incorporate homework practice. You could also use regular sheet protectors.

Cotton swab painting, fine motor skills, fun with paint, mess free painting, preschool painting, q tip painting, save money on paint
I found this great Fall Fun Packet on Pintrest. I love having the kids paint with cotton swabs since it provides an opportunity for them to use paints. We all know how much kids love paint, right? For year I’ve been using paint brushes. I remember setting up the paint, the cups of water, and having to put newspaper to cover everything up so paint wouldn’t get all over the place. With cotton swabs none of that is necessary. All I do is rotate the paint colors around and throw away the cotton swabs if they get bent or start falling apart. Less paint wasted and more fun to be had!

inAfter being open fro 3 years I’ve had to say good bye to my first students this summer. I started with all boys so you could imagine how active my house was in the beginning. All grown up and ready for school. I love them and will miss them.
Goodbye Ean and Christian may The Lord bring you many blessings.

All my blessings go out to educators, whether they maybe school teacher, home school moms, especially first time moms. inSo the focus this year for me has been the business end of daycare. I’ve been attending so many trainings. One which I thing completely turned things around for me was Tom Copeland’s business training. If he ever comes to your city please attend, it is completely worth it. His blogs are great too.
As far as the classroom goes, it’s amazing. I haven’t had the same amount of time to blog about all my activities b/c I’m taking some online classes with a Spanish program for infant and fodder called BEECH.
I plan to take some videos of my daily schedule. Basically mini clips of the thinks we do throughout the day

inYesterday our pastor preached about why it’s good to have faith. the answer was very simple…it pleases God.
When I began my daycare I worried about everything…resources, enrollments, expenses. One day I just said, ” I leave it to you Lord, I am doing this for your kingdom. I will work hard at what I do best and I know you will take care of the rest.” I am His testimony.
Every time I attend a training, all which are required by the state, I run into someone that plays a huge role in my life. Last month my trainer randomly stopped to talk to me. She asked me where I worked. I basically explained to her that I run a daycare from my home. Apparently I was the only one of the kind at that particular training :). She gave me this link to sing up to a program that UT sponsors http://earlylearningtexas.org/beech.aspx. It literally was a godsend. I was looking to purchase a Spanish curriculum since I opened my daycare. This program provides all the resources necessary to teach Spanish to children 18m and up. WOW!!!! I only expected a curriculum, but this program provided me with so much more. On Tuesday they sent me a box of Spanish CD’s and a CD player along with a great selection of Spanish books. Yesterday was like Christmas for me :). I receive 3 large boxes of developmental baby toys. God does provide and gives you much more than you ask for. All because of Faith….I prayed this morning that God gives me more faith. I know if I work hard, he will also work hard for me.
Jesus said to them, “My Father is always at his work to this very day, and I, too, am working.” John 5:17

***in this article it states you should wait until the child is two, but at A2Z I start as early as 18 months. Maturity levels vary. My ultimate decision is if the parent is on board. If the parent is ready, than Mrs. Luis is ready.
